What’s in the 2000 Chevrolet Pickup dealer information book
This is not an order guide. It is the “2000 Chevrolet C/K & Silverado Truck Restoration Kit”, which combines a product information guide, specifications, vehicle-identification pages, a long RPO code list, and service-manual-style technical descriptions. Despite the title, the product and specification pages cover only the GMT400 C/K Pickup. For 2000 that line was limited to 2500 and 3500 models, offered in 28 models with Base, LS and LS Premium trims. The book says that for 2001 Chevrolet will expand the Silverado lineup with a complete line of 2500 HD and 3500 models.
Models and trim levels
- C/K2500 Crew Cab Short Box; K2500 Extended Cab Short Box; C/K2500 Regular and Extended Cab Long Box; C/K2500 Chassis Cab.
- C/K3500 Regular Cab Long Box, Extended Cab Long Box, Crew Cab Short or Long Box, Chassis Cab and Crew Cab Chassis Cab; C3500 HD Regular Cab Chassis Cab.
- The book calls the Crew Cab the only Crew Cab model in that year’s Chevy Truck lineup. Crew Cabs are built in Flint, Mich. Regular and Extended Cabs are built in Flint and Arlington, Tex.
- Base: vinyl or cloth bench seat, rubber floor covering, PASSlock theft deterrent.
- LS adds Custom Cloth seating, carpet, air conditioning, power windows and locks, cassette stereo, tilt and cruise.
- LS Premium adds Custom Leather seating surfaces, power driver seat, a self-dimming compass mirror and remote keyless entry.
- New for 2000: Emerald Green Metallic replaces Meadow Green Metallic.

All pages are scanned sideways. Content tied to the GMT800 Silverado is limited to the cover title and parts of the generic technical and RPO sections. For example, the 4L60-E shift-speed table lists 4.8L (LR4) and 5.3L (LM7) engines, which this book’s C/K pages do not offer. On PDF p. 20 the Vortec 7400 section is mislabeled “Vortec 5700 V8 SFI Engines (L31)”.
